BioInfoSummer 2010 was the first BioInfoSummer conference held since 2007. The conference brought together students (undergraduate, masters and PhD) and early career researchers from mathematical and biological sciences and introduced participants to state-of-the-art bioinformatics research.  The workshop featured:

  • Introductory lectures on biology and bioinformatics
  • Keynote speakers highlighting current research
  • Hands-on practicals using bioinformatics software
  • Sessions of contributed talks

Each morning session (beginning Wednesday) commenced with background lectures, which targeted students and participants moving into bioinformatics. Presentations by keynote speakers followed.  In the afternoon, a session with contributed talks and a hands-on computer workshop was run concurrently (beginning Wednesday), followed by a keynote lecture to finish the day.
